Community Standards

At the Calgary Game & Collectors Show, we believe a unified gaming community
is a strong gaming community.

Our goal is to celebrate and support the people, businesses, creators, and groups that make gaming culture in Calgary and the surrounding area thrive. From independent retailers and artists to collectors, tournament organizers, and community groups, we aim to showcase the full spectrum of what makes our local gaming scene special.

The show is built as a platform for connection and visibility. We actively highlight local gaming businesses and grassroots initiatives, create opportunities for collaboration, and provide space for communities to be seen, supported, and celebrated. By bringing these voices together under one roof, we help strengthen relationships across the gaming ecosystem and encourage long-term growth for everyone involved.

This event is not about competition between communities. It is about shared passion, mutual respect, and building something bigger together.

At the heart of the event is our motto

S I B

Share. Inspire. Belong.

It reflects our commitment to building a welcoming, community-driven space where games, collecting,
and culture bring people together.

Share

The event is built around sharing experiences, stories, and a passion for games and collectibles. Attendees connect through play, conversation, and discovery, whether that means finding a rare item, learning from fellow collectors, or engaging directly with creators and vendors.

Inspire

We celebrate creativity, craftsmanship, and the personal journeys behind gaming culture. From independent artists and developers to competitive players and lifelong collectors, the show is designed to spark new ideas, fresh excitement, and lasting inspiration.

Belong

Above all, this is a place where everyone belongs. Regardless of age, background, or level of fandom, attendees are welcomed into an inclusive environment where they can be themselves, make connections, and feel part of a shared community.

Real Art, Real People

We believe in supporting real artists, designers, and creators.

Our event branding, key visuals, merchandise, and official show materials are created by human artists and designers. We do this intentionally to support creative work, craftsmanship, and the people who make this community what it is.

We may occasionally use AI-assisted tools for light promotional or hype content, but our core identity, artwork, and visual storytelling are always artist-driven.

This is about respect for the work, the process, and the people behind it.
